Dr Angelo La Leggia
Dr. Angelo La Leggia, CEO and founder of DMS, is a Consultant Clinical Scientist, highly specialised in Echocardiography.
Dr. La Leggia qualified in 2009 at University of Milan, completing the academic career with a PhD in Cardiology at The Catholic University of Sacred Heart Rome, Policlinico A.Gemelli.
With over 10 years of experience in the field of cardiovascular diagnostic, he currently works as an Echocardiography Consultant in UK. He spent many years working within the Italian and UK NHS, covering senior roles at prestigious Cardiac Centres such as The Royal Brompton Hospitals in London.
Dr. La Leggia is tutor for students and junior staff, providing courses and lectures in the field of cardiovascular imaging. He is member of British Society of Echo and European Society of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI) where he holds the Transthoracic Echo Accreditation (Level II). Dr. La Leggia has mastered expertise in various areas such as Transoesophageal Echo in cardiac surgery and interventional procedures (TAVI, Mitral valve devices), Stress Test and 3D echo, mainly in the field of valve disease.

Prof. Giovanni Di Salvo
Professor Giovanni Di Salvo is a consultant cardiologist specialised in Paediatric Cardiology.
Professor Di Salvo qualified in 1996 from the University of Naples Federico II, Italy, having completed his final year of training at Timone Hospital in Marseille, France.
He received his master’s degree in medical imaging in 2002 at the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium. Following that, he gained his PhD in cardio-respiratory physiopathology and associated biotechnologies in 2004.
He has worked in different countries, including Italy and Saudi Arabia. In 2016, Professor Di Salvo joined Royal Brompton and Harefield hospitals as a lead consultant in paediatric echocardiography.
In July 2017, Professor Di Salvo became the lead for paediatric cardiology research at Royal Brompton Hospital. In December 2019 he became full professor in Paediatric Cardiology at University of Padua (Italy).

Dr Fabrizio D’Abate
Fabrizio D’Abate is an accredited Clinical Vascular Scientist with over ten years of experience in vascular ultrasound.
Currently Dr. D’Abate is one of the senior members of the vascular ultrasound imaging unit at the Vascular Institute at St George’s Hospital, London and at Ashford and St Peter’s Hospital, Surrey.
He has been a tutor in several training courses and has been awarded two prizes from the Society of Vascular Technology of Great Britain for his work within the vascular imaging field.
Dr. D’Abate has published several scientific papers on vascular ultrasound, has several research interests in cardiovascular medicine and is the co-founder of an accredited e-learning platform dedicated to vascular ultrasound.

Dr Maria Efstathiou
Dr. Maria Efstathiou is a Consultant Cardiothoracic Radiologist.
Dr. Efstathiou works at Manchester University Hospitals MFT Foundation Trust.
She qualified from the University of Athens in Greece and then she moved to UK where she worked as Clinical Fellow in Cardiothoracic Imaging at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London and Royal Infirmary in Manchester.
In 2018 Dr. Efstathiou was appointed consultant at the Manchester University Hospitals MFT Foundation Trust.
She got Expertise in ACHD imaging, CT guided interventions of the lung, Cardiac devices imaging, CMR, MRI of the lung, dedicated sessions of abdominal imaging in CT and US and Expertise in elastography of the liver and hepatic doppler analysis.
Dr. Maria Efstathiou speaks English, German and Greek.
Dr. Giada Frontino
Dr. Giada Frontino is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist working in private practice in the London area.
She graduated in medicine from the State University of Milan, Italy, in 2003 and trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Italy, Belgium and Hong Kong.
Dr. Frontino qualified as a Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2008 and worked at the Clinica Mangiagalli University Hospital in Milan.
She gained 12 years of experience in the diagnosis and treatment of fertility issues such as endometriosis, polyps and fibroids, as well as in Adolescent Gynaecology and Fetal Medicine and has also developed expertise in assisting high-risk pregnancies and gynaecological emergencies. She was the recipient of several clinical research grants and has published in peer-reviewed journals and international textbooks.
Dr. Frontino performs pelvic ultrasound scans, fertility scans, follicle-count scans, Fallopian tube patency HyCoSy/HyFoSy scans and Fetal scans including Nuchal Translucency and Fetal DNA screening.
